History

Aksaray University Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences was established by Law No. 5467 dated 17.03.2006 and started its academic activities in 2008. Graduate and Ph.D. educations in our institute are carried out within the framework of the "Regulations on the Education of Higher Education of YÖK" and "Regulations on the Education and Training of Postgraduate Education at Aksaray University" in line with the objectives and principles of the Higher Education Law No. 2547. The main goal of our institute is to organize graduate education in physical and engineering sciences, to direct the graduate studies and projects with observing scientific studies and technological developments, and to direct students to the advanced researches which are in current topics. 13 non-thesis master's, 17 master with thesis and 10 doctorate programs are open within the scope of our institute and as of Spring semester of 2015-2016 academic year, there are 878 students in Master's programs with thesis, 307 students in non-thesis graduate programs and 69 students in doctorate programs and totally 1254 students continue their education and training activities. Totally, 469 students have been graduated from our graduate programs. Our institute is in a rapid development in order to educate qualified Master and Ph.D. students who will be able to follow the development of modern science and technology and transfer their achievements to their application areas.
